F Sunderland & Sons is a family owned business with corporate thinking, which allows us to provide a wide range of services from Industrial, Commercial and Domestic plumbing and roofing to our Commercial Maintenance service plus the latest developments in Solar Hot water.

Since 1926 the Sunderland family has been providing plumbing services to the people of Victoria.
With four generations of plumbers directly involved with the business over this time, our commitment to delivering superior service and results are unmatched.

Frank Sunderland was the founder and learnt his trade in the tough period between two world wars. Plying his trade on a bicycle, he managed to develop a strong domestic business. In the 1940s his son Frank joined the firm and they branched out into commercial work. The sixties saw rapid growth with second son Ian, joining the business. In the eighties, a third generation joined Frank jnr, John and Peter Sunderland. Concentrating on major public works projects, hospitals and commercial work.

Expansion continued with a second office in Phillip Island opened to service the South Gippsland Region.

In 1996 the business was rebranded as Plumbers NOW.

Shortly after a fourth generation joined in the traditional manner, as an apprentice and Andrew Sunderland continued in the family trade. The philosophy of growth and development is strongly ingrained, with each generation bringing new skills, enthusiasm and focus to. the business. The new dogs keep the old dogs on there toes. This is critical with in an industry that experiences constant change, development of new products and introduction of new and efficient ways of completing projects.

As the needs and demands of our clients change, so do we.June 2009, has seen the business evole again, as the company reverts back to its traditional business name of F Sunderland & Sons. We are still offering the latest developments in products that encourage sustainability. Our aim is to be able to assist homeowners, businesses,and developers minimise their environmental footprint thru informed choice.
